Georgio grew up in Angers, the child of divorce, between his mother's home and sometimes a squat with his father. At 16, he arrived in Paris, discovered rap with the 75th Session, scoured open mics, and released his first mixtapes, as raw as his phrasing. With Bleu Noir and then Héra (platinum), his sensitive and incisive lyrics reached an audience far beyond rap. XX5, Sacré, and Années Sauvages (75,000 copies, nearly 100 million streams) followed, before a long hiatus. Radio silence. This year, he returns on October 10 with Gloria, an album born out of the mourning of his father: glory to life, glory to music. "Gloria is glory given back to life, a legacy, a raw love for life, death, and everything in between. " After more than 10 years of touring France, Georgio is preceded by a reputation as an outstanding showman. Backed by a rich discography, full of collaborations and successes (all his albums are certified, with 75,000 sales for his latest, Années Sauvages), each of his performances is widely acclaimed. His Parisian fans particularly remember his last concert, which was sold out at the Zénith de Paris, during which he performed for two hours on a gigantic articulated mobile structure, accompanied by distinguished guests (Coeur de Pirate, PLK, etc.).
